Don Davies Don is the president and chief financial officer of Private Bank Minnesota. He also serves on the bank's board of directors. Don has more than 30 years of experience in community banking, primarily in the CFO function. He is also a certified public accountant. Don is responsible for a variety of banking functions, including operations, technology, security, human resources and finance. Don has been with Private Bank Minnesota since 2000. Immediately before that, he was executive vice president of United Community Bankshare, Inc. in Eagan, where he was responsible for mergers and acquisitions, launching a joint-venture trust services company and serving as the CFO for a small loan subsidiary. During his banking career, Don was a financial executive at banks in Wayzata, Minneapolis and Red Wing. He began his professional career with Arthur Andersen & Co. Don earned a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Minnesota in 1973 and became a CPA in 1975. He is a member of the Minnesota CPA Society and over the years has served as a director on a number of nonprofit boards in the areas of arts and social services, as well as a natural foods cooperative.
